The Holidays Are Over

Thank heavens we did it! It was a bit crazy and some long nights were had but all and all, this year’s holidays was mostly fun. That’s the goal, right? I decided after new years not to have a specific resolution but just to live more simply. I know, it sounds a little fluffy but I mean it in an everyday sense. Less about MAKING myself do, do, do and more about giving myself a break. Like this blog for instance. I said from the beginning, if I’m not enjoying it, I need to stop doing it. Simple but sometimes hard to be aware of. I guess I’m finally putting into practice all those Bréne Brown books I’ve read.  Ha!

I’m going to be introducing a few new things to the site in the next month so stay tuned. Also, I heard some feedback lately that some of the recipes can be a little intimidating so I’ll try adding easier recipes too. If anyone has any requests for recipes, please comment away!

Here a few culinary highlights while I was away. I wish the Beet Pickled Deviled Eggs were my creation but they came from Epicurious. They were a hit! So much so I even won a BEST DISH at our Murder Mystery Party. The roasted Sprouts are just a simple way to vamp up a roasted veg dish.
